NYFW: [Guest Post] Designer's Premier S/S 14
Hey dolls and kens. This is a guest post from fellow fab blogtress A Fendi Bag and a Bad Attitude. Isn't that name just great? She blogs about fashion, shoes (my fave), and entertainment. She attended the Designer's Premier at the Helen Mills Event Space on Sunday, Sept. 8th. Check out her coverage below. xo
It's that time again. Yes that's right, it's all about Fashion Week...New York Fashion Week that is. I had the opportunity to attend this fashion extravaganza at the Helen Mills space for designersDani Nichole, AVNAH, Ennyluap, Judıth &James, Monisha Pillai, Air Voss, andL'Cheriyve. Before I begin, let's just say this...peplum WILL be back for another season. Yup that's right.
The runway was very colorful with designers mixing prints, the colors (fire red & yellow) are the colors for S/S 14, oh and we cannot forget the leather on leather.
I saw a lot of swimsuits (risqué), I may add, with lace and other fancy trimmings, white is taking over with pleated skirts, casual work clothing, and even different 3-piece suits were spotted on the runway. But my fave so far were the mixed prints. Mixed prints is jut another way to put color-blocking to rest and just explore and experiment with different designs.
Overall I had a great time viewing these up-and-coming designers' collections. They gave me a lot of inspiration for my Fall wardrobe for the days when I want to dress up and pretend that everyday is Fashion Week.
